The Manufacturing Game® Workshop does not attempt to introduce new concepts. It is a tool that integrates ideas which are familiar but that have not been successfully implemented. The Manufacturing Game® provides "real world" experience and insights regarding how these concepts fit together to create a shared vision of improving profitability through reliability.
"The impression that people have when they go to the game is sort of an "ah ha" experience. It really doesn't teach anything that people who have a lot of experience in maintenance and operations don't already know. It gives them a way to see a bird's eye view of those things that they thought about but didn't really know how to put their finger on. It gives them an opportunity to say, "See, this is what I have been trying to say all this time."
-Steve Smith,
Principal Industrial Engineer,
Eastman Chemical

"The game shows that the interconnection of the functions has a bearing on how we do our maintenance - we must all work together as a team, rather than doing our work separately. Seeing this has changed my whole approach."
-Jerry Leach
Maintenance Planner
